House Decor ReVamp: Part 1

Over the past two months I have been redecorating and I am finally putting the last few pieces on my entertainment center to make my look complete. While we {my mom} is working on a few projects I thought I would post some of the things I revamped in my house in the mean time. I hope this inspires you to look in your garage, attic or around your house to find some pieces that you love but need some sprucing up!

* Please ignore the mess in my house,I don't know what I was thinking when I took the before pictures but I guess life goes on in the midst of redecorating with a 1 and 3 year old!

This is a clock I had gotten at Kirklands a couple years ago and I still really like the frame but it didn't really match my new paint colors.

And this is the clock now! So what we did was we took the glass off and then took off the hands. Then my mom painted the inside of the clock blue, {its Rainwashed from Sherwin Williams}. I used my mom's silhouette machine to cut out the vinyl numbers and then I put them on after the paint dried. I put the hands and glass back on and that was it. So simple and the best part it was FREE since I had all the supplies already.

A pretty basic brown lamp I had with a cream lamp shade.

Once again I used rainwashed and simply painted the lamp with a small paintbrush since there were tons of little holes {ugh that definitely took some time and patience} and I bought the white lampshade at Ross for $6.99! I used some fabric I had to make the flowers and just set them on the lampshade.

These are 3 hurricane's that I had from Southern Living {which i LOVE}. You can see them in the picture above after I painted them. I just painted them white and then took glaze with a black tint to it and wiped it on and then off. I love to use glaze because it gets in all the little crevices and looks AMAZING!

I added a little potpourri and they are totally ReVamped
This is probably one of my best finds. My mom and me {well when i can wake up} garage sale every weekend and we stumbled across this at a mini storage tenant garage sale. We got tons of stuff to decorate my house with and for so cheap. This table cost me $2!!!! When the lady told me I couldn't get my money out fast enough!

I lightly sanded the table and then wiped all the dust off. I painted it white and then I put 2 coats of minwax polyacrylic since I was going to put laundry baskets on top and didn't want it to scratch. It fit perfectly and was just what I wanted.

I had this red pot from Bed Bath and Beyond
I painted it a oops color {cloudburst from Sherwin Williams} and then again used the glaze with the black tint in it.

I think that about does it for tonight. I'll be back soon with part 2 to share!
